Terms and Conditions for CAFU Summer Raffle Draw
Effective – 1st August 2024
1. The terms and conditions
1.1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) shall apply to the “CAFU Summer Raffle” ( the “Raffle”) organised by Cafu App DMCC (“CAFU”).
1.2. By registering or taking part in this Raffle, you agree to be bound by these Raffle Terms and any such decisions that CAFU may make in connection with the Raffle.
2. The Raffle Period
2.1. The Raffle will run from 12:00 am 1st August 2024 until 11:59 pm 30th Septmeber 2024 ( the “Raffle Period”). CAFU will select eligible winners every week starting 12 August 2024 with the last selection to be made on 30 Septmber 2024.
2.2. CAFU reserves the right to amend the above date during the Raffle Period without prior notice to you.
3. Eligibility
3.1. To take part in the Raffle and get a chance to be a winner of the Raffle, one must:
a) be a registered user on the the CAFU on-demand delivery application (the “App”). If you are not registered, you can download the App from the App Store, Google Store or App Gallery and thereafter register as a user;
b) Place a fuel order of at least AED 150 or above for one entry into the draw or spend AED 50 on car wash services for two entries into the draw; and/or at least AED 50 on an order for battery, oil change or lubes for three entries.
3.2. Eligible winners will be selected randomly by CAFU’s backend tool and annoouced weekly throughout the Raffle Period.
4. The Prize
4.1 The Raffle shall consist of the following prizes to be distributed to winners at every draw:
a) Vouchers worth over AED 100 for:
i. Deliveroo
ii. Brands For Less;
iii. Carrefour;
iv. InstaShop; and
v. Namshi.
b) A 2 nights’ stay in deluxe room for a family (2 adults & 2 children) with breakfast at Centara Hotel & Resort; and
c) A chance to win 2 flight tickets to your choice of destination (Azerbaijan/Georgia/Sri Lanka).
4.2. Draws for the above prizes will be held on these dates: 12 August 2024, 19 August 2024, 26 August 2024, 02 Septmeber 2024, 16 September 2024; 23 Septmber 2024; and 30 Septmber 2024.
4.3. Winners will be annouced weekly via the App and CAFU’s social media channels.
4.4. No payment/cash will be paid out to the winners in lieu of the prizes.
4.5. The winner will be notified by email or telephone (as per the contact details available on such winner’s App account) within seven days of being chosen. Winner shall have to provide all requested personal details to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to CAFU within seven days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and CAFU will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
4.6. The prize will be sent to the winner within 14 days of responding to CAFU. Please note that external prizes offered by CAFU’s partners in this Raffle may be subject to a different set of terms and conditions that you must comply with.
4.7. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
4.8. CAFU reserves the right, at any time and at its sole discretion to replace and/or substitute any of the prize(s) with any other item of a similar value.
4.9. The prizes can only be redeemed by the prize provider’s terms and conditions
5. Use of Personal Information
5.1 By taking part in the Raffle, you are deemed to have consented to:
a) the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data by CAFU and/or its affiliates or brand partners, advertising or marketing agencies or such third-party suppliers that may be appointed or subcontracted in connection with the Raffle to carry out editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing related activities and/or other purposes without any payment and/or compensation except where prohibited by law; and
b) receiving promotional, marketing, and other publicity information from CAFU from time to time.
6. General
6.1. CAFU’s decisions in connection with the Raffle are conclusive, final and binding. CAFU shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning the Raffle.
6.2. CAFU reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions or the prizes without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extend, terminating or suspending this Raffle, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and all participants shall be bound by these amendments.
6.3. CAFU shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Raffle and/or redemption or use of the prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfilment of the prize(s), any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. Modification, cancellation, suspension or termination of the Raffle by CAFU shall not be entitled any party to any claim or compensation from CAFU for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of such act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
6.4. If any conflicts arise between these Terms and any promotional, advertising, publicity and any other materials concerning to Raffle, these Terms shall prevail.
6.5. The Raffle and these Terms shall be governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai and all participants in the Raffle (including the winners) are deemed to have agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
6.6. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these Terms shall have no rights to enforce any terms of these Terms.
